Zum Abschluss der gamescom 2019 am vergangenen Wochenende, wurden die gamescom Awards für dieses Jahr vergeben. Wir präsentieren hier nun die Gewinner.
In der Kategorie „Best of gamescom“ gewann Dreams von Sony Interactive Entertainment. Dieser Preis wurde von der Jury des gamescom-Awards verliehen. Die anderen 12 Gewinner des Awards wurden auch durch die Fans entschieden.
So wurde im Bereich gamescom global award THQ Nordic als beste Games Company von der Jury zum Sieger gekürt. Als beste Booth wurde die Indie Area Booth gekürt, die in diesem Jahr größer als die letzten Jahre war. Dieser Preis wurde wiederum von den Fans der gamescom gewählt.

- Best Streamer/Let´s Player: PietSmiet
- Gamescom „Most Wanted“ Consumer Award: Borderland 3 (2K)
- Best Games Company: THQ Nordic
- Heart of Gaming Award: Diversität mit Fokus auf Barrierefreiheit (Accessibility)
- Gamescom Indie Award: El Hijo (Honig Studios)
- Best of CAMPUS: Super Size Hero (Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg)
